Lisa Brook, Live Cinema Director, provides year round events and marketing consultancy for the Festival, leading on special events programming with Nia Childs, Producer for Live Cinema UK, as Events Producer for Doc/Fest.
In 2017, we led on the following events:
Whitney: ‘Can I Be Me’ UK premiere and live broadcast – Sheffield City Hall. Talent liaison, stage management and production management of live broadcast to 120 cinemas nationwide with director Q&A with Nick Broomfield plus live performance from Michelle John.
Queerama world premiere – Live performance with John Grant and screening of Daisy Asquith’s brand new archive compilation at Sheffield City Hall
8 Minutes – Preview of the latest multimedia dance from Sadlers Wells & Alexander Whitney Dance Company
Spookers – prouction and creative for an immersive haunted house experience and screening for the European Premiere of Spookers.
